The Civilian variant of the Mercury Fiat G212

Here is an unusual variant, a civilian Mercury Fiat G212 trimotor with registration. There is a more common military variant and a white Red Cross one, too.

My example is very badly fatigued- metal degradation- and 20 years ago I put super glue on to keep it together. It is still together.

It is the only one I have ever seen but it is mentioned in the Italian book on Mercury and certainly should have been produced in large numbers. I know only of one other in a Dutchman’s collection.

Does anyone have one?
