Tin Toys brand MiG 15

This fairly nice die cast MiG-15 was made in Hong Kong. The landing gear struts are made of plastic and are nicely-shaped; the markings are clear plastic tape. The time era is very late 70s or early 80s. I have one other of the jet fighters plus a few jet liners. "Tintoys" was also known as "Tins Toys" and I do not know of any tin airplanes from this firm, though they could be unmarked Hong Kong toys.

Tony,
Absolutely beautiful colourful Russian MIKOYAN GUREVICH MIG 15. From the same company
TIN TOYS, I also have the REPUBLIC AVIATION F105D, THE CONVAIR F106 DELTA DART, NORTHROP F5A,
MCDONNELL DOUGLAS F4, MIG 21, dark green DOUGLAS SKYHAWK. I also have the VICKERS VC10.
I may have the LOCKHEED F104G; I will have to go to the storage area and verify.

The funny thing is that the F105D AND CONVAIR F106 were the only metal representations of these
aircraft for a long, long time. Yes, there is the VERKUYL REPUBLIC F105D, but it
belongs in a totally different category. I have always liked the CONVAIR DELTA WING jets.

I know that this is old news to you, because you and GR have really great collections.
You have one of the finest JAPAN TIN TOY AIRPLANE collections in the world.
I was just glad to find these TINTOYS aircraft on EBAY. It was a big deal for me.
REGARDS, Rick

Rick, nothing is old news to me and I am sure it is the same with Tone whom I have known since he was a kid and had a only a few tin pieces in his collection then, like me and all the others here, we all had to start somewhere, but back then there wasn't any club or internet to share our finds.
I remember when I got my first Tin Toys, I thought they were great and still do. Keep sharing.
In fact now that I see that nice MIG 15, I wonder where I have hidden mine? Haven't seen them in a long time.
I enjoy seeing everything as do most of us here so keep posting with photos.
