Good webite for model tanks and other neat stuff

Postby slufstuff » Sat Feb 05, 2011 11:38 pm

I tried to post this in the links forum, but the board will not allow me to post there. There is a website that many of you guys might enjoy looking at. I know we like our airplanes here, but check out http://www.mikes-tanks.com/ This is a great site if you also like model tanks and armored vehicles. Plus there are good sections on ID models, some aircraft, and other interesting models. The only downside is the site has not been updated in a couple of years. I have attempted to contact the site owner to find out the status, but have heard nothing back. I hope it does not "go away" any time soon, as the collector info there is very useful.

Have used as reference in the Past. However, the last few times I tried to link to it, my AVG (antivirus) stopped the link with a "Exploit Blackhat SEO (type 1703)" 'Threat was blocked" message. From what I can determine some browsers do not allow this type of reference to other sites. Not sure if this is a real issue, or just a trick used by developers to access other web pages. Anyway, I can no longer access the site. Likely should be cleaned up by the owner, so you might bring this to his attention, too.

I run AVG also, but it is not flagging any threat when I go there. Interesting. I am not trying to get anybody in any trouble, so I guess I will add proceed with caution.

If I get any response from the owner, I will bring this to his attention, but I am not hopeful of a response. If anybody knows what is going on with the site, I would appreciate knowing what is up. It is strange such a well done site would be left abandoned for such a long time.
