Marusan Convair 880

Marusan's 1959 catalog, seen on the firm's web site, shows this very pretty Convair 880. The wings look very like a DC-8's, being a bit less swept. There is a small wheel in front and one in back. Note also the gold trim, reflecting the original Convair "Golden Arrow" proposal. Japan Air Lines, Delta and TWA were the principal operators and used the type into the mid-70s.

A scale model Convair 880's nose should be pointier than that of this toy model.
