I would like to start a discussion about CIJ (France). They put out some great little models. Again what am I missing? What do you have?

I have the Noratlas, the DC-7 that looks like a DC-6, the Deux-Ponts, Caravelle and 707. Other collectors who specialize in old die cast have many others!

That is a very decent set there. All in great condition.

I just love the Deux Ponts Provence, it is such a cool looking airplane, the original airbus 380!

Also I have the DC-7(6) in UAT Aeromaritime marking.

Lots more issued?? I had no idea. Any details would be appreciated.

The major items have already been discussed. Below are a few that were not mentioned. CIJ die casts are not often seen anymore, and they never were that expensive when one could find them for sale. Solido and Dinky Toy planes were another matter altogether. I do not think they were distributed in the USA.
I do not know of any other variants besides the ones shown below and those mentioned above.

The generic 707 issued after the Air France version

There are some different variants of the Caravelle.

The hard Caravelles to find are the two versions of the Air Maroc Caravelle. I haven't seen any for a very long time.
The earlier variant

The last variant

The Norecrin is a sweet casting with nice paint, but it never hard landing gear.

The Fouga Magister had several variants and was sold in a single box or in plastic sacks from a store distribution box.

Here is the Noratlas.

Finally the two DC-7 variants

Sounds like a really great idea. Florida sunshine, diecast airplanes, really good company, count me in!
Just seeing your collection would be the highlight.

You can get started by attending the Miami Airliner Collectibles show in January! Perhaps with some planning it could be done to coincide with the show in 2011. Also the Airliners International Convention was in Orlando over the summer - a fabulous event for collectors of toy airplanes!

CIJ,I love them, managed to get the Provence from a chap in Honduras,it was missing a tail fin but I fixed that, the Norecrin is a gem of a casting, your collection really is superb GR,even the old boxes have such character to them.
CIJ are not easy to find in the UK and most of mine were picked up on the net, sometimes we used to get French dealers bring suicases of goodies over to our flemarkets but not any more.
