Zylmex Military Planes

Postby Bawlmer » Mon Mar 28, 2011 1:23 am

I am new here and had a questions regarding Zylmex airplanes. I apologize if I am not supposed to post in this particular so again forgive me but I am new. I was going through old boxes a few weeks ago and found a lot of toys that I had when I was a kid. Most are 10-20 years old for the most part. I came across 8 Zylmex military airplanes and my question is is anyone buying these right now? They are in great condition and I absolutely loved them when I was younger. Im hoping to find someone who will appreciate them as much as I once did. The planes are as follows: the F-117 Stealth Fighter, B-2 Hawkeye (2), Phantom F-4 (2), MIG 29 Fulcrum (2), and F-15 Eagle. If these arent selling I will hold on to them and pass them down to my son. They are more of a collectors item in my mind than a playtoy because they are a little delicate and probably wouldnt last too long in a kids hands. If anyone has any interest or can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Thanks

There are lots of members here who admire and collect those Z planes. I am sure they will respond.
Personally, I would keep them for when your son gets older, then later on he can give to his son. I wish I had my airplane toys when I was a kid to pass on to my boys.

Thanks grwebster for the input. Unfortunately its something I dont think he would appreciate until he is way older. Those planes are so fragile I dont know if I would even want him playing with them lol. Thanks again and look forward to a few more responses.

All the Dyna-Flite planes you listed are quite common, and can still be purchased under other names (well, most of them). I would suggest that you let your children play with them - and be careful! - they have sharp points!
If you wish to replace these...I have many of each, all MOC, whenever you are so compelled.

PS: Google Dyna-Flites when you have time. I have added (extensively) to an article there and it includes a partial production list.
