one of our own from TPN days, Frederic Marchand of France, a few years ago wrote a fully illustrated in color book with english translations of the toys and models of Air france. 110 pages. Superb. This is the third book Frederic has done on toy planes, all excellent.

Tony, if you want to get an idea on how much work it takes to do a book, look carefully at this.

The best way to get that book is to just go to Paris and get it from Frederic. I had the pleasure of visiting Frederic's shop which is crowded from floor to ceiling with models, memoribilia, advertising, paintings, blow up dolls, etc. It's all very close and you can barely move. So being a person of large stature in the company another fairly decent sized guy we were knocking over priceless treasures with every move. Like a mountain gorilla and a silver back gorilla in a china shop. Frederic was getting very nervous so he quickly autographed one of those beautiful books and gave it to me if I would only get back out in the street before disaster would strike. Needless to say he had a deal! Like most things in my collection there's a story to go with it!

Cheers,

Ladd

I AM SURPRISED HE DIDN'T DRAG YOU OFF TO HIS NEARBY FAVORITE WATERING HOLE. SORRY ABOUT CAPS -UNINTENTIONAL BUT TOO LAZY TO CORRECT.
Frederic likes to spontaneously close up his shop in the middle of the day and have a few with visiting collectors....next time, Ladd.
