I have updated my homepage with this Lufthansa Boeing 707 made by Toys Nomura. The model has the newer Lufthansa-titles that were introduced in the mid 1960s. Also the jet-engines were changed to look more like turbofans. The registration is D-ABOT.

Before that Nomura also made a 707 in the early 1960s Lufthansa livery. The registration on this model is D-ABOB, which was the first 707 delivered to Lufthansa.

Those are a couple of beauties! For tin toys the accuracy is good--at least you know they are 707's. Interesting how the toy was updated to reflect the fan engines. I used to have an example of D-ABOB and regret now selling off most of my tin toys about 15 years ago. Thanks for posting pics of yours.

The second photo is from a different mold. It looks like the Marx TWA 707 Super Jet also available in Pan American colors with opening cargo door. They all probably were made in the same factory!

Anthony,
I hope you still have that 727 and enjoy it. Unfortunately I made some great deals for fellow "collectors" we met at TPN shows who "really wanted" some of my toys "for their collections." Well they turned around and sold them for a tidy profit. I'll still give a fellow collector a break before I ebay something but I've got to know my buyer a lot better. My feeling is that if I am going to stick something in the closet it's better off in someone's collection. Thanks for sharing a look at your collection with all of us.
Cheers,
Ladd

The 727 I bought from Boeing Driver. Exquisite, I wouldn't part with it. One of my favorite toy jet planes.

I have tears in my eyes!!!!!!!!!!
It still looks great. I bought that toy in a hobby shop specializing in model railroading in Aachen, Germany sometime around 1989. It was hanging by string in a dark corner of the shop. The shopkeeper was happy to be rid of that dirty old toy. I was more than happy to find an airplane.
