I found some information on line about a fellow named PATRICK DESPATURE who has written and photographed what looks to be a nice book on tin plate planes made between 1910 and 1960. Just do a search and you will see the information, I have not seen the book so I cannot review it personally.

In reading some of his quotes on line, it seems that "ET Co" (Eichiro Tomiyama) sold toy airplanes outside Japan on behalf of other manufacturers such as Nomura in the 1930s, before its more famous association with Yonezawa (1950s-early 60s).

Most of the toys are pre-WWII and look as though they're in great shape.

Hi Tony,

I had the chance to see that book a while ago. It's really worth to get it, even though there is not that much background information about the manufacturers included. The value is mostly based on the photographs.
It is incredible to see his collection, especially the Maerklin planes. For example he has a second Maerklin HE-111, from which so far it was assumed, that there is only one specimen existing, which is in the hand of the Maerklin museum.
That guy must have been a real passionate collector, and it was really geat from him to make such kind of book.
Most collectors keep such kind of items safe and secret, but he didn't.

Regards,
Chris
