I have a related question.

I once saw a photo of a GAMA brand Lufthansa Concorde with the box. The toy appears identical to the Daiya small size (12" L) sparkling friction Concorde. It was numbered 1107.

Was this a true GAMA toy made in Germany or merely the Japanese-made Daiya re-branded for sale abroad?

Regarding the GAMA Concorde I am not sure, but I also do not believe it was made by GAMA in Germany. I once saw it mint and boxed and I guess, it was french. It could be Joustra made. Also the Caravelle sold by GAMA in Germany may be Joustra.

I don't believe, the Concorde was coming from Daiya.

727 Pilot

Daiya did release this model in the later blue tail livery. I have seen it at toy fairs in Germany (in Cologne in about 2003) while looking for the Tomy Boeing 707, the box has the same artwork as the Pan Am 2707 with a blue sky background. There are some around but I have not seen one on Ebay in a while..

Your model is in very good condition. I am very fond of this version as mine came from a long gone old shop near the Grand Place in Brussels which I bought in 1991 while staying with a friend of mine. She thought I was mad but came round when I got it working and shrieking!
