Bandai Grasshopper

This Mitsubishi BC-3 Grasshopper racer is by Bandai in the mid-60s. It has a wonderful lithographed finish and a tin pilot under a plastic canopy.

Friction-powered: the big wheels under the wings connect with the prop shaft but the mechanism doesn't work that well.

Someone else can confirm whether the "Zeke" was really ever an air racer.

The Zeke was never used for air racing but even Zylmex did a race version in yellow finish, the manufacturers licence knows no boundaries !
