Nikko Gangu medium B-50 Superfortress

Unlike Tomiyama - which made a large-size B-50 Superfortress in several variants, and a medium-size version of the toy - Nikko Gangu made the plane in a medium size only.

It's very similar in size, shape and construction to the Tomiyama plane but it is clearly from different tooling. The wing span is 14.5 inches and it has dual friction motors beneath the wings.

I doubt if the turquoise color on this toy is realistic, but it adds color. The tail strut assembly is missing from this model; however, it adds to, rather than detracts from, the overall appearance.

Also, just like the real plane, the Nikko Gangu Stratocruiser has the same wings and tail as does this toy B-50. ;)
