Toys Nomura - Showa Brand Airliner

This large green airliner, marked as a DC-7 though it does not even remotely resemble one, has a wing span of sixteen inches.

It is a friction toy in a very colorful Pan American livery. It is the only one I have with struts or braces supporting the friction motor under the wings. The toy is all metal except for rubber tires; nevertheless, it is a lightweight.

Though you cannot see it in the photo, I replaced the tail wheel strut, which was missing.

I like it, all four engines on fire at the same time!
