The seller of this airplane is asking for help. What is this airplane worth and does she have it priced right?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks, Tom Sanders

These are very common. So to get top dollor they need to be in very good condition. This toy however is not in top condition, and missing the props. I would say that her starting price is too high. Those is very fine condition sell in the $150 range all the time. Maybe even less.

Both correct, however; the seller is incorrect. This plane is supposed to be a DC-7 and sold in Sears catalog in 1959.

This toy "Mint" with the box could be worth over $700 if your last name is Fiore.

I spent much less than Mr Fiore's asking price for a near mint unboxed example ten years ago; however, the price was slightly more than $150. It's the one that I photographed in my December 20 post.
