Me-262 Galland "white 3"

Postby bstewart9 » Tue Nov 23, 2010 11:56 pm

I always think it is interesting to see the same aircraft made by different makers. Here are my examples of the Me-262A-1a "white 3" flown by Adolf Galland.

Very interesting. But I sure wish some of those 1:72nd makers would cool it with the exaggerated panel lines.
The only lines one would see generally in that sacle and at a normal distance are the movable control surfaces: rudder, elevator, flaps, ailerons, gear doors perhaps, ammo access doors, and trim tabs and of those shown above the most expensive one by Diverse seems to be the most subtle in that regard.
Nice collecting concept, but didn't Dynaflite do one?

Well, now, that is a superb collection.
But Bill I know of another series that has a Me 262- from the 1950s - that you don't show {er...so far that is}. There must be a few variations of this toy, too!!!

GR,

I don't have anything from the 50's so I must have a hole in my collection.

Who's the maker? I could use a new Holy Grail.

Hint- it is part of a series of famous planes. Michael has one I am sure, so let's see if he comes forward.
Another hint- there was a B-36 in the line, too.
I am sure Tone and some others have it too. The line would not have attracted your interest except for their nice Me 262
I would hazard a guess that it will become by far the cheapest toy in your collection when you acquire one.

Probably not the one asked by GR, but here is a Schaarschmidt ME-262. Construction from casted aluminium and tin sheet wings. Made for Messerschmitt in the 50's as promotion for their post war planes. Scale prox 1/29.
