I picked up a Western B-36 a while back on eBay and had to make some minor mods to restore it to its original form. It's a heavy piece and not very detailed, but I like it.Image

It looks super! What are it's dimensions?
I think it would be a big seller in 1/400.

The seller mistakenly listed this as a 1:72nd scale model but Western didn't make it that large. It comes in at about 13.5 inches for its wingspan and about 10 inches in length which translates roughly into a 1:200-1:220th scale replica, I believe.

A nice model. Western I believe stuck to 1/200 scale mostly.

Holy smokes, that's the same size as a tin Bandai B-36 ... that must make a very heavy die cast toy model.

As I recall back in The Plane News days, some members wrote to me complaining that the then brand new Western models had weak landing gear {white metal?} that collapsed on display. I wrote to Western and asked what was up with that, never got an answer. I heard they improved on that later on.
