Michael the main reason for the high prices at airshows is the cost of the stalls for the retailers,whilt it is not difficult for say the ice cream van to recoup the £1,000 asked for one day the kit and toy sellers have to inflate their prices so high to make ends meet,you can pick up some interesting pieces at these shows and also at museum visitor centres as well.

Agreed...after doing the local air show from both sides from several years, it's an expensive venue but filled with impulse buyers. Ditto with museums...I'd rather find my planes at the local discount house!

As they say the fun is in the hunt ! so far no reply from the UK agents,not that I really expected one,I think a lot of these big companies never read their e-mails !
