Final answer? You are correct. Hans was responsible. He modified standard ERTL Force One aircraft and sent these special models to the 6 editors of The Plane News. The way to tell if one gets your way is that he removed the rivets to modify them then screwed them back together. He didn't sign his work normally, but one of mine is signed.
Tempus fugit, especially when you are having fun - or a family. So, c'mon - I was right the first time!!....they are Force One planes, just not Force One issues!!! ...I deserve a celebratory root beer...
