OK MACers - the topic is autogiros...

I REALLY love the autogiro since it fostered in the age of the helicopter. And, autogiros, or gyroplanes, are the oldest of rotorcraft toys.

So, here are a few of my favorites. I'm hoping lots of you folks will cotnribute photos of your autogiro toys.

Kuramochi brand toys are great!

The only autogiro I have is the Einfalt Technofix similar to the one posted in another forum, however.

There is a "Pitcairn" lithographed in a checkerboard pattern that's pretty nice-looking.

the Pitcairn was de la Cierva's atuogiro sold under license for USA production.

another good autogiro toy was from Spain's Play Me range. and BTW Mark, they also did a fabulous Cobra.

here are mine: Tootsie, a (fake) hubley, a broken dinky, a broken Britains (army) and a mint Britains Blue G-ACIN (price realized in 2006 at Christie's:1800 pounds...), The Einfalt/technofix, a Playme, here out of the box, an unknown brand big Spanish Cierva, a recast of/by 'The Bradley Wright Aviation Co from Hamble Aerodrome, Southampton UK', and two diecast metal kits, Cierva C30a from LDM and an Avro Rota (=cierva c30) from MHW models, both in the UK...

I do collect pictures too - you never knwo when you'll meet with one in the tin as it were..

Here's my best aquisition of 2012: the C.K (Kuramochi) / E.T.C.O. (Tomiyama) R-674 clockwork autogiro airplane. It's definitely rare; one of the five variants those companys partnered to produce in the 1930s (that I am aware of). Based on my experience, this is the second most rare of the C.K / E.T.C.O autogiros...
