I'll second that Play Art Boeing 314 Clipper. It is a great piece, I have the early one in silver with metal props.

These are very, very impressive lists. The helicopter lists are duly noted. I have always liked the PIASECKI H21!!!
JUST FOR FUN, I would like to see a [TOP TEN FAVORITE DIECAST AIRCRAFT]
where the guy actually paid ten dollars or less. I mean $10.00 or less, just to stir up conversation and show everybody
what a good deal you got. No cheating - it has to be true. Some airplanes I would never believe. Some of mine I don't believe, because it seems impossible.

Anyway, this might be a fun category, just for discussion. Everybody gets a good deal every so often that is fun to share with
the other readers. REGARDS, RICHARD STARR

Great choices-and I was going to add the Skycrane Corgi model too. Plus:
Mighty Wings H-16 Piasecki or the Cragstan
Mighty Wings H04S
Mercury S-55
Majorette Gazelle (in red)
Dinky Bristol 173
M Skycrane

I just took a quick look at what I retained from my original collection and saw the wonderful Edison iItaly Macchi- Castoldi M.C. 72 seaplane racer. It is worthy. The aircraft set a world's speed record.

Also some examples of the wonderful plastic series of Cox/AHM series.

The EDISON MACCHI CASTOLDI 72 seaplane racer of the thirties and the BRITISH SUPERMARINE S6B seaplane racer
are two of the finest diecast airplanes ever made. I think the MACCHI CASTOLDI competed in the 1931 SCHNEIDER
CUP TROPHY race. As you have pointed out, it actually flew at 440 MPH, which was remarkable and exceptional for the time.
I like to have these two seaplane racers side by side, as they competed against each other.

The ITALIAN EDISON GIOCATTOLI diecast racers and biplanes were some of the finest.

Tony, I just found this post so I'm way behind the game! In the meantime I am getting ready for our Colledtibles Show here in Houston this Saturday! I've worked hard to included MAC as part of the show and I know that several of y'all are coming down. I hope there are others who haven't said anything that will magically appear.
We'll be having a post-show dinner Saturday evening and everyone is invited!
Danny Samuels and I will have a variety of toys/models on display and it looks like at least 3 tables will include items from MAC members - including myself.
Drop me a line if you can make it! ...the show is at the 1940 Air Terminal Museum at Hobby Airport, Houston, Saturday October 10th from 9 to 3. Jump a SWA airliner and c'mon down!

Wish I could have only a two or three of them in my collection! Very nice, especially third one is a good choice!
