Fascinating!
The one on the left is a Lockheed F-90, the other a Douglas Skyrocket - with apologies to each for their many appearance faults!
Are these solid or hollow cast? Are there any maker IDs on the bottom or other such stuff? How big are they? If in scale for O gauge the F90 would be more than a foot in length and span!
The F90 was a popular subject in the early '50s and it's basic shape graced many a book cover, model kit, and airplane toys of many varieties. Ironically, it's performance was lackluster and the project was dropped soon after the test subjects were built. Other popular aircraft of the time (for models, toys and etc) were the Cutlass, Scorpion, Skyrocket, B36 and the Constellation.
