I received another request for a Wyandotte Winnie Mae so I have gone back to look at Wyandotte's prototype that I previously restored. Since these were not production units, I decided to reformat the landing gear to come closer to the Vega's gear system. These are vintage toys so the adaptation has its limitations. That said, I started putting together the MkII version. Note the struts to the landing gear look more like Lockheed's version. This really was not a difficult application. the prop is a new one that I produced and the wheels are not wood, that are actually vintage tether car race wheels with aluminum hubs and rubber tires.

..and here is the Vega with a Sirius from the same project. The Sirius will eventually have the landing gear with wheel pants removable for a set of pontoons ala' Lindbergh.
