For Christmas, I got myself this 25-inch B787 toy (about 1:84 scale) which I found tucked in a corner shelf in an old department store in my hometown.

since it was a toy, I didn't expect much from it but I did admire its form and composition... except for the friction landing gear which I had to change. I also didn't like the original colors, so I painted the thing white.
Now I'm happy. So far, this is the biggest in my collection.

In the photo, I am putting it beside the smallest scale in my collection, a 1:1100 A380.

I'm very much interested with unusual scales in models or toys. I also got a good chance of getting this 1:950 (+/-) B747-100.
I just had to change the landing gear to something more proportionate.

that 787 is quite nice, any idea who made it? Your redo is even nicer.

I have diecast Me-262's ranging in scale from 1:48 for Franklin Mint to 1:250 for a Paradair.



The large one on the left is the Franklin Mint (1:48). To the back right is the Corgi Legends (1:72). The diorama is Diverse Images (1:144). Next to the Franklin Mint is a repaint of the Lintoy (1:100). In front of the diorama is the Dyna-Flite (1:144). To the right front of the diorama is the Hansa (1:200) and in front of the Franklin Mint wing is the Paradair (1:250).

I believe Admiral/Century 21 does a larger scale but it is plastic.

21st Century did do a Me-262 in at least two versions and they are fabulous-1/18 scale I believe.... so much so you should break your rule about metal and get them. You won't regret it ....if you can find any that is....... I haven't seen them in a while.
The only 21st Century ones I ever bought was the Huey Gunship UH-1C which I flew in combat for a year in VN. I got three of them at first, one for each home, then I also bought one for each of my crew and they treasure it. They aren't sold any more but when they go on ebay they get prices 3 times what I paid 10 years ago. $150++
I am always tempted to get more of their other aircraft but those things are really big.

This is one of those China-made products that don't come with a proper brand. The box says "Air Super 787" but that's just about it.

It's all white now, and I'm planning to apply the Philippine Airlines livery on it. I'm just having a hard time laying out the tail logo because this one's tail is a little tricky to work with. I do my own decals as I am not much of a painter.

When I was little, I had a REMCO brand motorized, scale model, white plastic United 727 with opening passenger doors that was HUGE ! ! ! If I still had it, it would be the largest toy, even larger than the Tin B-36D.

An update for the new year: Now in Philippine Airlines livery.
