Happy Holidays to All the MAC members!!
I recently picked-up this model that was generally ignored in its auction. I suspect that the side view (see black painted sample) was what put bidders off. The general dimensions and outlines were otherwise dead-on for a 1/72 scale DC-3. It was the cabin area location that had issues. I made a template to get the cabin location re-positioned and have started the process. I hope to get this finished after the holidays.
Enjoy your significant others, families and friends.

As a follow-up to my first submission, here is the cast aluminum DC-4 / C-47 on its new but vintage cast iron stand. Since this is a sand-cast model, there will be various voids to be filled. With no plans to polish the model, I will fill the voids using JB Weld and give the model a finish similar to those produced by AC Rehberger.
