This Vertol based toy I bought in Plymouth UK...was missing a rear rotor set so I scratch built one from plastic strip...I used a sheet of mid-grey art paper (~ $1) as a background ImageVertol 107 Litho Tin Toy Helicopter by A30yoyo, on Flickr

The information I've seen dates this toy from 1935-38.

I have the New York Airways version of that -107, it is very realistic. Sorry - it's not a Rotodyne, though! The only one of those I have is the "Vertical liner" SR649. A previous owner re-attached one of the jets backward but I dismantled it and re-attached it in the proper direction. Other than that, and some corrosion where the batteries go, it's pretty nice!
