Here is a new, to me, brand of toy - Metalma, from Brazil, probably in the 60s but continuing later. The symbol is "M M" inside a circle, with the letters styled to fit inside the circle.
The first plane I saw was a VARIG DC-8 with the box, friction toy, using the tooling from the Alps Japan Super Jet.

I have seen a better photo of this one, with the box, and plastic jet pods, which appear to have been removable.

Next are two variants of an F-104 Starfighter "Silver Star", red/white and blue/white, with green/gold Brazilian Air Force (FAB) insignia.

Here is another F-104 type plane, remote control, with rockets under the wings.

Here is a copy of the Japan Koyo Kinzoku brand 747 from the 70s, this time in Alitalia colors. Look at all those variants advertised on the box! I wonder if they were all made. This box also has the name Matarazzo - an Argentine toy maker that has been around at least in the 1930s.

Here is a small plane with plastic tail fin. This one looks almost like a Japanese Saito S2 brand toy.

I wonder how many more there are.
