I've been told that these were issued to australian officials in the late fifties.. something to do with the A-Bomb tests. Very very rare apparently.

There are a number of castings that are done in "pot metal", like Mazac and similar. Do you consider those to be "aluminum" or not?

Hi again Michael.. my "assumption" was that it is aluminium, it's heavy and solid, but not enough to be brass or other metals, although it is of the Mazak era so quite possibly that, although I believe Mazak degenerates with age and this model is perfect ..
