Hubley Airplane Stand

Postby sandmanoverhaul » Mon Nov 21, 2016 9:18 pm

I'm doing an overhaul for a client that means rebuilding a Hubley 467 Navy Fighter (Brewster F2A). He also wanted a period stand as well like a classic mid 1930's display. As we all know a period metal stand for models is rare enough let alone using one for a toy! I opted to use a 1950's chrome teardrop shaped toy doll display stand, new aluminum arm that fit the existing attachment hardware and made a cradle for the airplane. The unfinished toy is shown sitting on the stand.
