Gyrocopters

Here's a place to post information on your GYROCOPTER toys...

I know that we have some great posts which deal with rotorcraft like autogiros, gyroplanes, gyrodynes and other VTOL and STOL aircraft. And, I know that the word "gyrocopter" is used synonymously with many of these terms.

But, since some toy manufacturer's specifically used the term "gyrocopter," this post can serve as a place to highlight these toys. A common definition of GYROCOPTER is a rotorcraft which utilizes an unpowered rotor in autorotation to develop lift, and an engine-powered propeller, similar to that of a fixed-wing aircraft, to provide thrust. I don't think I've ever seen a toy that depicts both the rotor AND the propeller. Have you seen any you could contribute?

Here are photos of a couple small one-place gyrocopter toys:

Here's another Disney-themed gyrocopter, this one manufactured by Durham in Hong Kong:

I have three nice ones: the Haji, a small one by ASC and the bigger Philip Niedermeier - with tail.
