Here's another ball I want to get rolling... Coaxial and intermeshing rotor helicopters and gyrodynes.

I love the complexity of these toys! The way the rotors often actually intermesh, just like in "real life," is awesome!!

I have a couple examples. Are there any more out there?

U.S. Air Force Gyrodyne by Haji (Sansei)/Sonsco - this one was also released by Cragstan/NGS, but I've never seen the toy itself

Kaman H-43 Huskie by S&E (Suzuki&Edwards) / Rosko

Kaman H-43 Huskie by ATC (Asahi Toy Company) - ATC made a larger version which I'd love to add to my collection someday.

And finally, a hybrid that was marketed towards space toy enthusiasts - the Bandai Space Bus

The space bus has the same flight deck/fuselage as the Bandai XC-142 Tilt Wing with four propellers. Those toys are all very, very, very nice. :)

Do you know what "NGS" stands for? This company made several variants of the 727 in two sizes, and other jet liners and even a couple propeller airliners.

Sorry - I have never seen any documentation on what NGS stands for... I have a number of toys marked NGS and wonder if it was a manufacturer or a distributor?

There is one German web site I saw whose owner claims that trademark stands for Yagikei.

Two Japanese manufacturers with the initials KY are listed in Gallagher's book. One is Yagikei and the other is Yamazaki. The helicopter toy above also has a KY on the box, but it's trademark style matches neither of the trademark symbols shown in Gallagher's book. Perhaps the one of this toy's box is a later style of one of these two manufacturers?
