A Corgi JU-88 Gets "Wellenmustered"

My latest redo of a Corgi JU-88 may interest some members as it depicts an interesting camouflage scheme used in the Mediterranean battles by the Luftwaffe. It's called a "Wellenmuster" scheme and consisted of numerous small and larger squiggled shaped markings, using light blue/gray on the upper surfaces and a dark color on the under surfaces, to create a very effective over water disruptive pattern. I took a Corgi "Battle Of Britain" JU-88A-1 as my subject, which had the wings of an A-4 mark, but the earlier main canopy featuring a single gun in its rear, and modified it by installing a correct two gun canopy from another Corgi JU-88. That done, I huffed and puffed and eventually finished up with a lightly weathered "Wellenmustered" JU-88A-4. Here are a few pictures. First, a shot of the original model, before I went to work on it:Image

That's a wonderful job! I can see why the color combination worked. That particular camo scheme induces epilepsy if you stare at it too long! Thanks! -- Bryan
