fin flashes and some numbers and letters, from scratch.

one fuselage required two attemps, after i screwed up the stripe. gull grey base colour matched by eye. all the gear legs required tightening. but one nose leg rivet was stuffed. drilled out and replaced with a 'Cherry Max' counter sunk rivet.

the big joke being they're real aircraft fasteners and cost a fortune.
despite the economies of a production run, still takes 20-30 hours to complete each aircraft.

Phantom Pilots from the Midway were credited with the first and last Mig kills of the Vietnam war. the carrier is now part of the US Navy's museum in San Diego.
