one of the most striking liveries i've ever seen on a Caravelle
and with little thought on how i was actually going to bring it together, thought 'i'll have crack at that.'
deriveted the fuselage, carefully drilling out the casting stems,
then polished the wings, engines and lower fuselage and applied paint and decals.
both main gear legs had to be fabricated. time consuming, but not difficult.
the problem was getting the two casting halves back together without marking the finish.
scared of damaging the many hours of painstaking work i'd already done, led to months of procrastinating,
over final assembly. until i finally got sick of seeing it sitting on the shelf in pieces.
and by some happy coincidence, the interference fit on the replacement rivets was just right.
Colours: white, black, silver, bare metal wings and fuse, decals from scratch.
