Here is a unique one. I am doing a minor overhaul a client's very rare Cleveland National Air Races Ashtray. It was missing it airplane with support and the original plate that advertised the Air Races. Here is how the project looks so far...

Here is a process update on this project. It seemed more convincing to have more than one racer around the pylon. Another cast metal airplane was procured, its outlines slightly modified and temporarily affixed to it support wire. A small slit was cut into the tower so that the mounting wire could pass through for assembly. Here are two pictures of the project at this stage. What is next?
1) Tower gets a smooth surface and painted white
2) Red Checker Board decals get applied to the tower
3) Both airplanes get their final paint and details
4) New nameplate gets applied
