Pastushin AD Skyraider Re-Do

Postby sandmanoverhaul » Tue Nov 08, 2016 2:40 am

Had a client send me one of the Pastushin Skyraiders that he won about a month back. It came with no stand or props and the owner gave me the okay to give it an overhaul as I saw fit -carte blanche. To replace the prop blades, I manufactured a similar prop fixture that I use for the Allyn P-51's I have been overhauling. Here are the results.

Yet another beautiful restoration. I certainly do admire your craftsmanship.

Mark, Thanks. Your reply is appreciated but I was not posting the AD-1 for compliments. I missed the mark (sorry Mark) when I started this thread. What I want to convey is that there is hope for that underdog airplane model display that is missing original parts yet still has "display-ability". So what if the original stand is missing. In most cases when we show our models to visitors they wouldn't know.

This is one of the stellar functions of MAC. I am sure someone out there has a similar issue to overcome. Just ask us for "solutional ideas".

Stepping down from the soapbox,
Tom
