Maybe...but...I've never, ever seen a single tailed version, especially from a vendor (GE). Obviously Douglas thought about it before abandoning the project.

My bet is that Douglas secured a large production of these models from Pastushin only to realize too late that the full-scale airplane it was a red herring. They probaly asked Pastushin to have the two fins removed and adjust the casting leaving the 4 engine format the focus and calling it the DC-4 without the "E" designation.
