Comet Authenticast plane collection

These small scale wartime ID {identification recognition} models were produced in plastic and soft metal. After WWII Comet Authenticast reissued their products as boxed toys

Very well done on that comprehensive list.

I guess it wasn't just my imagination that the Avro Lancaster was not part of the Comet/Authenticast line-up. I'm kind of shocked that such a significant RAF aircraft is not there, yet there are some really obscure planes that are.

Remember the specifications on which aircraft were to be included were done early in the war, and there were many mistakes in the models based on erroneous information available at the time. (e.g. The P51 half rudder, FW187)

Also, Cruver produced the 1/432nd scale which included the Lancaster and others that Comet did not make. There were also numerous aircraft produced by both.
