Wyandotte China Clipper -Special-

Postby soslipstream » Fri Mar 02, 2012 2:31 pm

Hi All,

I have a few of the Wyandotte China Clippers to overhaul and the combination of colors and original brass engine cowlings is stunning when brightened. unfortunatly, there seems to always be at least one engine missing amongst other parts. This one was missing all the engines and a tail so normally would have been relegated as a "hangar queen". I have a similar project converting one of these to a Boeing B-314 Flying Boat so I utilized some of those cocepts to breathe new life into this bird. The new engines are more in-line with those used on the Martin M-130 so I decided to proceed with an overhaul that reflects that particular look. What was once a rough looking turkey is now more of a swan...

Cheers, Tom
