Amazing! Believe it or not there is also a Japanese Tin Meteor from the 50s. Bernard Macaire, a famous French collector, had one in his collection I saw during the on-line auction.

Ah...I came across Macaire's name when I was actively collecting tin planes (a decade ago)....are there photos of his stuff archived on the net (or in books)?

I think the reason many of the Boomaroo Yorks were painted green was that the Governor of Australia, Lord Mountbatten had a personal York aircraft just after WWII which was painted Duck-Egg-Green to keep the temperature down in the tropics
