Wall of Harriers

I finished my basement recently and dedicated an entire wall to my collection of toy and diecast harriers! 194 and counting...

Outstanding, great collection.
That display is the best one I have ever seen for a toy collection.
Not many actual play toys of the Harrier were made, I guess. The only ones that come to mind are: the Dinky Toy one from 1978 or so, the Zee Dynaflite ones {several variants}, the ERTL Force One variants 1980 or so, and the elusive Polistil Italy ones also in several variants. Ron Crawford's HBM resin kits may have a Harrier in the series, but I don't know. He is a moderator, user name ronc200 and you can send him a pm from your user control panel.
There were also some exceptionally well done Harrier display variants in 1:200 scale by Dennis Knight in the UK, but he has stopped his business. You might, if you want some of Dennis' work, contact Chris Sawyer in the UK who is selling the old stock, I believe. Chris amy also know of other 1:200 Harriers. He is a member on this site, username Chris.Send him a pm, too.

Thanks for the kind words. Storing my collection in curio cabinets over the years became overcrowded and cumbersome. Having them on open shelves has been great for quickly re-arranging, adding, and peaking at the undercarriages every so often. However, there's a lock on the door to the room so the kids can't "play".
In addition to the toy manufacturers you mentioned, Matchbox, Maisto, and Habro's Micro Machines have contributed many variants more recently. last month, I acquired my second spanish Sanchis 1/32 toy harrier in the brown color scheme (see photo) which is impressive just for it's sheer size.

Besides my Frankling Mint(CDC Armour) & Corgi harrier models for the "adult" collector, Hobbymaster recently added a harrier to it's lineup and a second variant is due out next month. Model Power (after 6 years of requesting) finally added a USMC version of their harrier to coincide with their RN sea harrier. Mine is due to arrive any day.

Sanchi toys are never talked about, and I have only seen a few in France years ago. It was one of their Airliners, a Caravelle as I recall.
The model was super sized {perhaps 1:32} and very well done, all plastic. Something was broken on it so I passed. Had no idea they did the Harrier. Wonder what else? Anyone know?

Hey I have one of those! BANDAI 1985 or so. It only barely looks like a Harrier, though.

Yes, besides the Bandai "Royal-T", I have Deftwing, a Chorobo, variants of the "Scrambled Egg" harrier, and variants of Slingshot All are transformer toys.

Very impressed. Great collection.
Here is a photo I found of the Polistil one. I expect it came in several different finishes as most of the line's airplanes had three different ones.

Not sure, my two AZ7's are both green/blue camo. Would love to see a photo of a different variant if it exists.
