How Do You Display Your Collections?

Small stuff! ... my kind of collector!

When I decided it was time to rationalize my collection I selected about 1/5th to be retained and to disburse the rest.
I am not getting any younger and the thought of leaving my 4,000+ item collection to my family made me cringe for them.
I also wanted to turn the old Plane Room into a separate, independent guest apartment with two bathrooms, and a kitchenette and yet keep my reduced collection on display.
So my ID collection 1/72, 1/50 scales went from over a 1,000 or so to just 110. I retained all the 1/200 ids and models - both wartime Wikings and the Helmet, HBM, and other makers in resin and white metal - and the wartime sets of the plastic and metal 1/432nd US made ones as they took up very little space.
As for the toys and models, I retained the rarest and most unusual and some of my personal favorites.

and the end result- note that the small die casts and 1/200 models are in 60 butterfly boxes under the desk top in cabinets.

you are getting old, hit your view control and enlarge.
Actually photobucket has a new interface and all my recent photos are tiny when linked.
I found that they by default set this in my preference and I have changed it to show full size.

Thanks for the update. Used to be that the "small" size would fit most computers, but nowadays the larger capacity and display sizes render "old" images too small. I used to use an 800 width as standard, now it's more like 1600.
