Had a soft plastic version of this in the 80s for a time. remarkably well-detailed even if the tail wings have sprue removal damage

I just found your post - and I aplogize for it taking so long!
This cast was also issued in white with blue markings, silver with red markings and, as you show - no painted markings!
Additionally there is a red issue...no marks.
Finally, Braniff issued a CV-880 marked as a "707" which it clearly was not. The mold was slightly revised and reissued, this time looking more like a 707! I guess the model maker had an 880 mold ready to go and didn't notice - or didn't care - that it only looked a bit like a 707; considering the size and quality of mold, I'm not surprised that no one noticed!
