Hawk Constellations
Posted: Thu Mar 09, 2017 3:23 amThanks to another MACer and some eBay luck, I have been able to expand my collection of Hawk made airline promotional models. I was lacking the "Miami" and "Los Angeles" labeled pieces and wan thrilled to add them both to the collection. I have loaded a shot of all the variants in my collection of this piece. I have a note that mentions one with KLM markings so I may still have a hunt on my hands!

Also remaining is the question about the reason for labeling them Chicago, ILL, Los Angels and Miami. Notice that only Chicago mentions the state name. From Chicago (home of Hawk) only TWA flew to Los Angeles at the time but there is a "TWA" plane already. Eastern flew to Miami...but...other than the much later EAL DC-9 there simiply aren't any of these little plane in EAL marks.
