Thanks, interesting site for modelers
But I see most of the posters are not impressed with the results. They should do larger WW2 aircraft like multi-engine bombers and not tiny WW1 biplanes with struts and perhaps then, with a lot of finishing they could be presentable. Rudder and elevator will still be too thick, though.
Or you guys should try bigger scales like 1/144.
What does one of those biplanes cost, anyway?
I find them too thick to be acceptable in a collection of 1/200 models. Perhaps later the technology will improve and the minimum material depth will be lessened?
Frankly, the current metal 1/200 chinese mass produced aircraft are the finest I have ever seen, especially the polished ones. Hogan and the others do superb work.
But they are not cheap. And its doubtful any buyer will ever get back his costs down the road when he wants to sell, as they must make 10s of thousands of each one, no?
Just my opinion.
