Hey All,
I picked up a little contract job from a commercial pilot who has a soft spot for British Cold-war fighters. His Gloster Meteor in the photo needed a canopy. He had watched my last auction on Ebay for an Allyn P-80 (with featured one of my hand-made canopies). He contacted me and we struck an accord. It arrived safely last week and I got to work. After giving it some thought, I offered him some options including a stand and some detail work which he agreed to. I also added an aluminum plug to bring the canopy up to correct height and to allow the canopy to more narrow to scale. I mounted the airplane as if it is in a gradual climb attitude typical after take-off. The picture shows the results.... BTW, the "winged G" is Gloster's old logo.
Regards,
Tom
