Old Eastern Martin 404 was bought at auction close to home. Metal in 1:60 scale. Advertised as given by Eddie Rickenbacker himself to an Eastern Airlines investor. Model was in poor shape. Paint came off in flakes everytime I touched it. Belive this was originally meant as a Martin 202 ( it had windows above cockpit windshield ) but Eastern cancelled those orders and ordered the 404 instead. Model was in first livery (bare metal) but I could not resist making it in my all time favourite livery. Choosed pre delivery blue FLY EASTERN AIRLINES on top of cabin. Have a spare set of decals if I ever change my mind to redo it to the original one.
Most of the decals was made by Atlantic Models.
Anyone know the maker? Have seen another one in TWA colors.
