US Plaster ID models

Here are some of the early issued plaster ID models. Hard to find today as they could break easily.

BTW the stands were not part of the plaster ID program, as I recall someone remade Cruver stands about 20 years ago and even had the aluminum posts machined. I bought a bunch of them and haven't seen then since.

This is the sole example in plaster that I have in my collection, an A-20A Havoc. If I told how little I paid for it , it would certainly lower your opinion of me!
Does anyone know the history of this type? Were they made by a Navy section, civilian contracted, or some other group?
